Hayati Lychee Ice: what it tastes of, which kit it fits, and what to buy if it is gone

Lychee, for anyone who has only met it in a tin at the end of a Chinese meal, is a small white fruit under a knobbly red shell with a taste somewhere between grape, pear and rose water: sweet, juicy, slightly floral, and a little perfumed in a way people either love at once or find odd for the first few goes. It has been a vape flavour for years, nearly always with ice, because the menthol cuts the perfume and turns it from a pudding into a drink. Hayati's version follows that pattern. The manufacturer describes it as sweet, exotic lychee followed by crisp, icy menthol, and the box carries the same blue-and-red livery as the other iced fruits.

Where it sits on the Pro Max Plus list, then: a cold fruit pod, in the same temperature bracket as Watermelon Ice and Kiwi Cooler, but sweeter and more floral than either. It is not a candy flavour and it is not sour. If you find the blue razz family too sharp and the bubblegums too sweet, lychee is the sort of flavour that sits between them. We have not vaped enough of it yet to tell you how it holds up over a full 12ml, which is the test that matters with a floral flavour; when we have, this paragraph changes.

The Pro Max Plus 6000, and only that. Lychee Ice is sold as a Pro Max Plus refill, which clips into the Pro Max Plus 6000 kit and nothing else. It is not made for the Pro Ultra Plus 25000: not as a single, not as half of a twin pairing, not on the manufacturer's list and not at any UK retailer we could find, and we looked, because the first thing customers asked was whether the 25K had it. There is no lychee in the Hayati Pro Max nic salts either. If you own a 25000 and want lychee, the honest answer is a 6K kit.

It also shipped as a refill before a kit. The manufacturer's UK site lists Lychee Ice under pods, and the kit versions on sale through the summer were still the established sixty flavours. So the route is a Pro Max Plus 6000 kit in any flavour you already like, then a Lychee Ice refill in it. The kit costs £7.80 in a five, the refill £4.80, and swapping takes a pull and a push.

Nothing about the hardware is special; the flavour is the only new part. Lychee Ice uses the same refill as every other Pro Max Plus pod, which means the same maths: 12ml at 300 puffs a day is about 20 days, and £4.80 over 20 days is 24p a day. Long draws shorten that, and a floral flavour is one you tend to sip rather than gulp, so most people will get the longer end of it.

Refills come in sealed fives of one flavour, so a first Lychee Ice order is a commitment to five of them. If you already own a Pro Max Plus 6000, that is the whole order: five Lychee Ice refills, £23.99. If you do not, add a kit five in a flavour you know you like (£38.99), which brings it to £62.98 and over the free-delivery line, and you have a device with a known flavour in it plus five lychees waiting.

One suggestion before you commit, and it is not a sales one. If you have never had lychee in any form, buy a can of lychee juice or a tin of the fruit first. It costs about a pound, it tells you in one mouthful whether the floral note is for you, and it is a good deal cheaper than finding out from four pods in a drawer. For a cheaper audition of Hayati flavours generally there are the nic salts, but that trick does not work here: there is no lychee salt to audition with.

A flavour that is hard to find is a flavour worth faking, and the 2026 newcomers are the hardest Hayati flavours to find right now. Every Lychee Ice box has a scratch-off verification panel; check the code with the manufacturer before you fit the pod, and if the box has no panel, no new-pack sticker, or a flavour name printed in a font that does not match the others, stop.
